Accounting Department
The Accounting Department is responsible for the fiscal affairs of the Lafayette Parish Clerk of Court. The areas of responsibility include the Registry of the Court, accounts payable, accounts receivable, budgeting and procuring a Fiscal Agent. Accounting also manages the online records search accounts.
The Registry of the Court pertains to disputed funds that are held in a fiduciary account until the court proceeding can be held to determine the funds rightful owner. All money disbursed of the registry or deposited into the registry must be done so through a court order.
Accounts payable pertains to purchases the Lafayette Parish Clerk of Court makes throughout the fiscal year. For any questions regarding an invoice, please contact the Accounting Department.
