Jury Duty

I have been sent a Jury Summons. What do I do now?

STEP 1: Fill out your Questionnaire on our Juror EResponse Website.

STEP 2: Check Reporting Status after 5:00 p.m. beginning the Friday before your summons date:

  • Option 1: Call 833-573-1212 to hear reporting status. Only report in if the status provides a reporting date. If no date is given, DO NOT REPORT FOR JURY SERVICE. Continue calling for reporting status each evening after 5:00 p.m.

  • Option 2: Log into the Juror EResponse Website

    • Click Profile/status, select the “+” for Service Information

    • If no reporting date is listed and “Check Back-See Summons” appears: DO NOT REPORT FOR JURY SERVICE. Continue checking website reporting status each evening after 5:00 p.m.

Important Juror Information:

Jurors have free parking available at two garages. The first garage is the Buchanan parking garage which is across the street from the courthouse and is located at 809 South Buchanan Street. Jurors can park on floor 3 and above.  Please be aware, the elevators do not work in this garage. There may be attendants in a golf cart that can assist anyone who physically cannot walk down the flights of stairs or down the ramp.

The second garage is the Vermillion Street parking garage, located at 121 East Vermillion Street which is about a 3 block walk. Jurors can park on any floor in this garage.

Put your parking permit on your dashboard and bring in your summons with you. Do not park at any meters unless you are handicapped with the proper identification shown or you may be ticketed by LCG Parking administration.

Reminder these items are prohibited in the courthouse: Cell phones, lighters, cigarettes, e-cigs, tobacco products, smart watches, cameras, recording devices, weapons, self defense items, and all electronic devices are NOT allowed in the courthouse. You will not be allowed to enter the building with these items.
